Wild geese
WILD GEESE
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting —
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

Gratitude Diary on Discord
'Gratitude is like most desirable traits and qualities in that it is usually not enough to simply decide to be grateful—we must actively practice it to cement its place in our lives.
There are many reasons why gratitude is such a desirable quality, aside from its inherent goodness. As we recently wrote in a piece on the benefits of gratitude, performing simple daily acts of gratitude can have a big impact on your health and happiness.
These effects are particularly evident in the practice of gratitude journaling. It only takes a few minutes a day, but it can give you a lasting mood boost that can take you from feeling “okay” to feeling “great” on a more regular basis." ~https://positivepsychology.com/

The Kindness Club: What Is Your Life's Purpose?
Today we watched a video called, "Seek Life’s Purpose with Your Guardian Spirit," by The Honest Guys. They are two brothers from the UK who have been creating meditations since 2009. You can find them on the web and they also have a channel on YouTube.
Like most of us, I have often
asked myself – what is my true life purpose? Am I fulfilling
that purpose to the best of my capacity, or do I avoid it by being busy and
distracted out of fear of failure or not measuring up?
When I was a mother of young children, my purpose was clear – take care of their needs, teach them good values, encourage their natural curiosity, and love them in all the best ways I could. At other times, I found satisfaction and personal fulfillment by writing, being a mentor to those in 12 step programs, activism in social justice causes, and being a loyal friend and confidante to loved ones. But were these really my life’s purposes?
Yes, because one's true purpose is about recognizing your own gifts and using them to contribute to the world. Pablo Picasso once said, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
We are all continually evolving and growing as we make our way through life, and so it is important that we remain open to continually discovering - and giving away - our gifts.

New at the Center: a mailbox and a need help button
Mindful Thought: Side Note
So this does make you a better person over time and those around you will benefit from it and notice the change in you. It is however a process of win and fail and learning every time. The good thing is every day is a new day to start over ♥
