Weekend Zen: New Sunday evening event! The Dreaming Buddha

Introducing the NEW Dreaming Buddha meditation area!

It is my wish that we come together to enjoy this beautiful, tranquil space each Sunday at 1pm SLT, as our special way to mark the closing of one week and enter a new week feeling refreshed.

This will be a voice led, guided meditation, designed to help you fall asleep, or enter a deep relaxation to prepare you for the week ahead. In the spirit of dream time, I invite you to come drift away on a gracefully floating swan bed, as seen in the video clip below. Please arrive with your avatar dressed in G-rated sleepwear or comfy clothing. Feel free to bring your favorite stuffy too!

Please watch for notices and the group chats to get your landmark. I look forward to seeing you all there

Weekend Zen

A smile is a sign of joy.

A hug is a sign of love.

A Laugh is a sign of happiness.

And kindness is a sign of compassion.

May you all be blessed to receive these treasures this week.

And may you be fortunate enough, to be given an opportunity

to pass these treasures to others.

So that each person you touch with your kindness, can feel encouraged to pass it along too.

WEEKEND ZEN: Foster Connection and Compassion with Yourself and Others

Some narrations from within the video:

“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.” ― Plato

In a world where sometimes we suffer in isolation, make the choice to cultivate kindness, connection, and compassion. Today, make this choice to connect with and build the qualities of compassion and kindness during your meditation so it will carry over into all the activities of your day. Every moment, every behavior, we have the choice, so choose kindness.

While we are not personally in each other's presence, know I am sending my loving energy your way. Know that you are not alone. I am here for you and others all over the world are practicing with you and supporting you on your journey as you are doing for them as well. As I am writing and recording this meditation, I am thinking of each one of you and sending you positive energy with the intention of connecting.

WEEKEND ZEN: Peace During the Pandemic- Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Guided Meditation

Some narrations from within the video:

At this point we all have a deep understanding of fear and sacrifice. We all know what it feels like to be alone and afraid. Perhaps these emotions are stemming from something deeper. Perhaps our fear and sadness are a result of feeling powerless. Many of us do not yet understand the power that lies within us, the change we can insight, and the transformation just waiting for us at the other end of this pandemic.

Before anything else, we must acknowledge where we feel powerless. If we want to transform and heal, we must first accept where we are in pain. What part of this pandemic is the most stressful for you? Where do you feel a lack of control? Acknowledge how that makes you feel… Breathe deeply. In this moment, just be, with your feelings of powerlessness.

What we once knew as normal is changing. Shifting. Transforming. How is this an opportunity to transform? … How are you willing to shift?

Our world is evolving. This experience is transformative for each and every person individually. And we're all connected. Linked. Intertwined. Thus, this will change our world.

·        Be aware of how resilient you have been in this time.

·        Be aware of how resilient your community has been at this time.

·        Be aware of how resilient each person has been in this time.

Within the world there are the communities. Within the communities there are the individuals. And within each individual there is such power and compassion. Power to incite change. To grow and shift. To transform. Even in the most painful situations.

Weekend Zen: Sam Harris - 30 min Guided Meditation with Atmospheric Music

“Our minds are all we have. They are all we have ever had. And they are all we can offer others. This might not be obvious, especially when there are aspects of your life that seem in need of improvement—when your goals are unrealized, or you are struggling to find a career, or you have relationships that need repairing. But it’s the truth. Every experience you have ever had has been shaped by your mind. Every relationship is as good or as bad as it is because of the minds involved. If you are perpetually angry, depressed, confused, and unloving, or your attention is elsewhere, it won’t matter how successful you become or who is in your life—you won’t enjoy any of it.”

Weekend Zen with Raeven

Sometimes we get so caught up in our external world that we begin to neglect our internal world without even realizing it. Especially in a year like 2020 with so much craziness going on globally. It's important that we take the time to be mindful and nurture our souls with peace and calm. ♥
